Foursquare missionary Kelly Hilderbrand says the flooding in Bangkok, Thailand took many people by surprise, trapping them in their homes with no way of escape. He says the situation changes daily and there is no indication when the water will drain from the city. Foursquare missionary Andy Opie says 26 of the 77 provinces have been impacted and 2 million people have been displaced.

Andy reports that Foursquare people have been affected. “We have several families in the Bangkok church who have been flooded out of their homes.” He says one family has been stuck inside their house for two weeks with waist high water on the first floor, waiting for the water to recede. Migrant workers who attend the Burmese Foursquare Church in Bangkok have been forced from their homes and have no other legal place to live because of their migrant status in Thailand.

Pray that the Church can rise to the occasion and spread the love and compassion of Christ to people affected by the South Asia flooding.
