Rescue, Restore & Renew
Since the earthquake of January 12, 2010 that devastated the country of Haiti, the Foursquare Church has been serving the Haitian people bringing comfort and restoration.![]()
Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, with 60% of the population living in abject poverty. Four months after the earthquake, tens of thousands live in tent camps, having lost their homes and all their earthly possessions.
There were already an estimated 300,000 orphans and street children in Haiti before the quake. Now that number has been added to by this disaster, as many children lost parents and care-giving relatives to death or disability.

The Haiti Foursquare Church currently has one orphanage in Jeremie that cares for 46 children. Pastor Cassamejor and his wife lovingly parent these children, trusting God continually to meet all their needs. A new property has just been purchased for the Jeremie Church and orphanage to build on so that they have a permanent home.
Leaders here are planning another orphanage in the hills above Port-au-Prince with Pastor Bellande and his church leading
the charge.
Pastor Guy Thomas, Foursquare National Church Leader, is working toward his vision of an orphanage in the near future. Foursquare Relief and Compassion is helping to rebuild their facility that was damaged in the earthquake.
The hope for Foursquare Haiti is to see churches plant orphanages around the country to fulfill the Biblical mandate to take care of orphans. These leaders see and feel the need every day to care for and love these children. They are everywhere.

Please pray for us about how to partner with them in the near future. There will be many opportunities to pray, to give and to go. We are excited that God is giving us, the Foursquare Church, the privilege of serving the country of Haiti by partnering with the churches, to care for the most vulnerable and needy of all… the children.
