The loss of life and devastation in Japan has touched the hearts of the Haitian people who are still trying to cope with the restoration and rebuilding of a nation that was devastated just last year. All the members of our churches and base camp staff are praying for the Japanese people during this difficult time.

Life in Haiti continues to be challenging, but amid the rubble, God is moving, pouring out His spirit of love and comfort, and showing the way forward to those who will follow Him.

There are signs of recovery all around:
Food is easier to purchase;
Clean water, through new wells and water filters, has lessened the impact of Cholera and other diseases;
Tents are being replaced by semi-permanent “starter homes;”
Orphanages are better equipped and cared for;
Schools have more supplies, better facilities, and more paid teachers; and
The national church building has finally cleared customs!

There is a need for people experienced in working with steel buildings. Please contact us at foursquarehaiti@gmail.com if you know of anyone who can help with this project. We hope to begin this project around the end of April.

Self-sufficiency projects designed to create jobs and help Haitians provide for themselves are in full swing: There is a Foursquare bakery starting up and the poultry project is up and running; the Tilapia fish project begins soon; and the hydroponics project begins this month. Hope is rising, our churches are growing, lives and buildings are being rebuilt, and the teams sent from churches are ministering in the power of the spirit!
