Do we need passports and visas to come to Haiti?
Yes, you need a passport to come to Haiti. However, visas are not required. Please make sure to bring a photocopy of your passport and I.D. with you kept in a separate location in case your passport is lost.
Are there physical requirements for this trip?
Please note that the work teams coming down will be asked to work for hours in the heat and humidity, and some heavy lifting may be required. All teams will still have to deal with challenging conditions so please come prepared.
What do we wear to the church service?
Women should wear skirts or dresses with shoulders covered.
Men should wear pants (no shorts) and a nice shirt

General office supplies (i.e. printer paper, steno pads, paper clips, staples, printer ink for HP F2480)
Candy for kids
Balloons
How much money should we bring?
Your team registration covers your food, lodging (of sorts) and local transportation. Bring travel money and enough for sodas & souvenirs
What are the accommodations at Base Camp?
We have a men’s dorm with 16 bunks, a women’s dorm with 5 available bunks. We have indoor plumbing in two bathrooms one men’s room, one ladies room and 4 showers (2 indoors & 2 outdoors).
Will I be able to contact my family once I am in country?
We do have internet at the base camp, however, we ask that you limit the usage to essential emails only.
What is the weather like in Haiti?

What language do they speak in Haiti?
In Haiti they speak Creole and some French. There is a program you can download at HYPERLINK “http://www.byki.com” http://www.byki.com that will help to teach you the language if you wish to be prepared when you arrive. We also have translators on staff at the base camp.
What is the currency in Haiti
It is roughly 38 gouds to 1 U.S. Dollar but they do take American currency in most places.
